Cooking session: Bak kut teh
Today, Chef Bing is going teach you how to cook Bak Kut Teh. I believe a lot of you haven't taste my cooking yet. I can tell you.. I can cook much better than certified chefs. Don't believe me? Ask my dad, ask my girlfriend, ask boon, ask my sister, ask wilson, ask kah chun, ask all the people who ever taste my cookings... you'll be surprised.

Okay, first you need to have have to good ingredients.

(1KG of pork - 500g ribs, 500g 半肥瘦)

(Balls... pork balls.)

(Soy sauce)

(and my cheating ingredient.. herbs and spices mix)

Other ingredients:
2 tablespoon of salt
half spoon of white pepper
2 garlics
1 liter of water
a lot of electric for heating up the stove.

Firstly, put onions and spices into boiling water. Make sure it is boiling. While you are waiting for the water to boil, cut your pork into smaller pieces, like 2-3cm width.

Let it boil until the herbs mix with water... the water will turn into soup, (in case you don't know).. follow by putting the pork into the soup.

Tips: do not buy lean pork... it won't taste so good. Don't buy pork fats only too.. or else you will become like me.

After boiling the pork for a period of time (let's say 30mins), put in salt, pepper and soy sauce. Taste it along the way, don't pour everything into the pot in one go. There's no going back if you make any mistakes.

Oh ya, put in the porkie balls too.. I choose to put this at last because these balls was cooked before hand. Just heat it up and ready to serve.

Put in everything, turn to medium heat. Let it boil for another half hour.. make sure the pork is soft and juicy in the end. Imagine this... tasty soup soaked into the meat.. and the meat juice flowed out... woooooo cannot describe la! You gotta experience it yourself, then you know.

Boil ah boil ahhh...

1 hour later...

Deng deng deng! Bak Kut Teh, ouh baby! Makan dengan nasi... whooaa... sedap guo lin...
